Transform your Office from a Trick to a Treat

Oct 24, 2016

Halloween is upon us once again and hundreds of offices continue to think of new and inventive ways to boost staff morale during this time of year. So why miss out on a golden opportunity to make your staff and colleagues feel valued?

Introducing a little office fun of your own can hugely affect the atmosphere and working conditions around you. Here are our top tips in transforming your office from a trick to a treat!

Office Decoration

Office decoration can have a positive affect on staff morale as it can change an average day office environment into an exciting place of work. Just like a bright and colourful summer office can bring out the potential in staff performance, a themed décor can really improve work ethic making your employees excited to come into the office. Halloween is a brilliant opportunity to bring out the best in people simply by adding a few decorations such as:lumina-energy-halloween-office-descoration-feature-image

  • Bunting
  • Plastic spiders
  • Fake cobwebs
  • Wall stickers

Charity Events

Nothing boosts staff morale like a fun charity event raising money for frightening causes. Halloween is a fantastic opportunity to think outside of the box and hone in on this spooky theme! This year, Lumina and sister company LASER will be raising money for our selected charities by turning our office into a spooky house of horror! Here is just a selection of the ideas we have come up with as a company to raise money:

  • Toffee Apple Selling – An assortment of toffee apples will be made and sold
  • Trick or Treat – A member of staff will be moving around the office offering a trick or a treat
  • Halloween Cake Sale – An assortment of cakes will be made and sold
  • Pumpkin Carving Competition – Staff will calve their own pumpkins ready to be judged
  • Fancy Dress – Staff will pay £1 to dress up in Halloween fancy dress
  • Office decoration – The offices will be decorated, Halloween style

But why stop there? Charity events outside of the office can also be included to raise money. For example, taking part in a 10k run whilst dressed in a Halloween costume is not only an entertaining way to raise money, but also highlights the spirit of Halloween.

These are just two examples of how you can help your staff feel and be more productive, motivated and help the office as a whole radiate with positive morale. Before you know it, you will have transformed your office from a trick to a treat this Halloween.
