Kent Sport work with organisations across Kent and Medway to offer a wide range of opportunities for everyone to get involved in sport and physical activity. 355,000 people in Kent and Medway do less than 30 minutes' physical activity per week. Kent Sport’s aim is to work with partners to help people and communities to be more active. They do this by:
- Supporting the sports sector and community organisations to deliver sport and physical activity
- Delivering projects and events that help adults and children to be more active
- Addressing barriers to participation amongst groups who tend to be less active
- Communicating the benefits of an active lifestyle to help improve the health and well-being of residents
Lumina & Kent Sport joined forces in 2014 to help all sports clubs in Kent get the very best deal for their energy costs. The partnership offers clubs the opportunity to pay less for their gas and electricity bills, freeing up funds to help pay for other amenities such as new equipment, facility improvements, more staff etc.
Lumina has already helped a number of Kent Sport members pay less. Here’s how we helped Dexter Millen from Aire Trampoline Club:
“We called and spoke with Annia at Lumina who took down some details of our usage and current unit rate and standing charge. After only a few hours Annia called with prices that were cheaper than our renewal and that we had been able to find ourselves. The service was fast, simple and very efficient and we would recommend it to any sports club. Aire Trampoline Club has saved money from changing providers supplied by Lumina which has allowed us to invest a little more money in renewing equipment.” Dexter Millen, Aire Trampoline Club.
